cscope with vim

1. I used the builtin cscope support of vim. But it doesn't split the window even if I do a search with scs like I'm supposed to.

2. so i used a plugin called cscope-quickfix. It uses the command line but i get this error when I run search with an inverted index file present.

cscope: -q option mismatch between command line and old symbol database

cscope: removed files cscope.in.out and cscope.po.out

can anyone help?
