cs v1.6 with steam: error loading fy_iceworld..

whenever I play on a server to play on iceworld I get and error saying that de_vegas.wad has an error. WTF?

What the hell does vegas have to do with iceworld? how do I fix it? I tried looking for the map deleting it then redownloading it from the server, however I can't find the .wad files... they seemed to have moved with steam, anyone know where to look.

I feel your pain. 🙁 I'm one of the many folks out there being very disappointed with the "upgrade".

You need to get de_vegas.wad from somewhere and put it at C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\your@e-mail.com\counter-strike\cstrike folder (your directories may vary 😉)
