CS:Source Video Stress Test Errors

I've tried to run the cs:source video stress test a few times today, but as it goes down the elevator shaft and into the mine there are big red ERROR messages where the rotating panels usually are. I'm not sure why this is occuring.

Happened to any of you before? Any suggestions?

Thanx

I get the exact same thing on my x800xl. didnt do it on my x300. Though I think mine may be driver related or maybe something messed up in a recent update?

Does this error message say anything? Have you tried multiple drivers? Have you tried running it with the video card at stock speeds? Has the test worked before? Did you just update CS:S? Maybe try sending a bug report to valve /(you can even take a screenshot, IIRC).

All it does is show me big red rotating ERRORs. I'm using the 71.84 driver, which the stress test has worked with everytime I've tried before, as well as with the older driver. The stress test has also always worked at these OC speeds. I did however just get an automatic Steam update yesterday, but it said it only had to do with an anti-cheat system, so I don't know why that would affect anything.

Still getting errors.

Just guessing but I'd say the problem is with steam. When I do the stress test I get some odd colors, and in HL2 the fixed shadows are yellow, blue and red. I even changed video cards (9800 pro to a 6600GT) and it's the same. So it can't be a driver issue, unless nVidia and ATI are using the same drivers. (I really doubt that).

Wow I'm glad I saw this thread. I run 2 6800GTs in SLI and saw these spinning ERROR objects also and thought OMG maybe one of the 6800GTs is causing the problem and dropped to one card and still same thing. This was only yesterday is there a fix for this?

Not to sound funny or anything. These "ERROR" messages in the stress test spin and there in 3D. maybe its not an error at all! Maybe its part of the stress test??

I have those errors too. XFX Geforce 6600GT PCI-E. Sometimes when I'm playing, in console it'll say I'm missing files or something. I don't lose performance or anything though so I'm not really bothered.

No they are not supposed to be that way. Normally they are large spinning rectangular objects spinning with very complex textures on them like a glass texture, etc etc. They are supposed to stress the system. However instead the word "ERROR" is rendered in 3D and is spinning.
