CS:Source Home Networking Problem

I posted this here instead of the software section just because I think you guys can help me better. Alright , I recently moved in my new place for school. My roommates and I have Adelphia cable and the cable modem is in my room, along with a Linksys G router. I have a desktop and a laptop and my desktop is directly plugged in while my laptop and everyone else's runs off the wireless. Now when we wanna play CS in the same internet game it ll let the first one of us in fine, but not the second or third, it ll stop at two bars and just sits at at connecting to server. Now here's the kicker, some days we can both connect just fine to the same server and play together, but other days like today we can't. And furthermore, this is using the same set of favorite servers we both have, so nothing is changing. I know I've read about people having these same type of problems when I googled it; however, we're not changing any settings or anything. The only port forwarding that is on is for bittorrent. We're running stock firmware. Anyone have any ideas?

changing the client port on all the machines to different ones, has fixed the problem. I just don t understand why it was working before
