I need some help from you. I can't really play CS lately. It is extremely slow. It used to be smooth. However, it is getting really bad today. So, I did the video stress test and it reported 5.95fps!!! What is going on? What I first built this computer(about 1 1/2 month ago) and did the stress test. I think I got about 100 or 120fps. What is wrong? I tried both 1280 x 768 and 1680 x 1050. Both performed badly. I tried turning everything way down inside the game and it is still slow. I seems like CPU is always 100% while inside the game. I shut down a lot of stuff that is running already. Any suggestion is greatly appreciated.

Here is the spec of my computer(no overclocking so far)

DFI LanParty NF4
AMD 64 3000+ Venice
1G OCZ Platinum memory
ATI X800XL 256MB
2005fpw

so that's why half life 2 has been crashing, rebooting my computer, running at horrible frame rates, and freezing lately.

EDIT: I noticed that half life 2 has an option to turn on or off HDR now in the graphics menu
