CS is becoming superbly lame

Anyone else think so?

I cant stand it anymore every other server I go to I'm accussed of being a cheater. Either with some HS script or some lame a$$ wall hack. Dont mean to brag but I am pretty good gimme a low ping and any decent weapon and I can kick some butt. I'm not the best but I'm up there I usually finish every game in either 1st or 2nd place.

Today some lamer by the name of T.K nam banned me from his a cs server. Dont the server owners know better than to not give admin to little kiddies? It gets friggin frustrating after a while :|

Back when I ran Q3/CS servers (my own I might add) only 4-6 people modded the servers and we only kicked people with good evidence not on the whim because the other guy is winning therefore he must be cheating............

Anyway thats my rant for the day. Guess I need to find some CD servers to play on.

It is full of cheaters, but good admins and anti cheats can weed that out quick. On my clan server we run CS Guard and Cheating Death. We haven't had a cheater in months, because they can't turn on their hacks with Cheating Death. Nothing is 100%, but you can lower the ratio a whole lot.

Instead of getting so upset, find a server where you do fit in and have fun. There are so many out there, I am sure you will eventually. :)

One conclusion I've come to, while playing online games is: No matter how old you are in the real world, your 15 years old when you step online. Your basically playing a game with KIDS. So, that being said, expect to be ridiculed, teased and generally harrassed for proving how well you handle yourself. No matter where you go, theres always some kid whose mommy and daddy didnt beat him enough when he stole the cookies from the cookie jar. The minute you zero ping his a$$ with a shot is the minute you bought yourself a game full of harrassment.

What I hate most is when good players bitch about cheating.

When I play UT, I consider myself decent but there are some guys out there that are simply amazing. Once in a while, I get lucky and win. Then they start calling me a cheater or camper. WTF? Good players have bad games too sometimes.

Hmm supposedly u can cheat if u have 2 harddrives. You have to put the cheat on 1 HD and run it from there. The anit-cheat program does not scan both HDs so people can still cheat. :disgust: A couple of days ago i was playing cs_siege and this guy got a head-shotted me with a scout through 2 rooms!!!! I was being ghey and camping the hostages (in the room with the top vent) and he comes in outside of the first door and kills me with a head shot from a fvcking scout. To top it off the fvcker did it again in the next round!@#@$!$!@$@ This was on a Rutgers University LAN server. Gnus if u are reading this i hope u DIE!@$#!

i use to play cs about a year ago, and i would routinely clean out the other team. i could tell when people were coming because i could hear their footsteps, but of course all the retards on the server thought i had a wall hack. i gave up on cs when i moved out of my dorm and back to a 56k, and from the sound of it i dont see much reason going back.

on the servers I play at (which have CSGuard and Cdeath) players who constantly make accusations about cheaters are kicked. An accusation has to be accompanied with proof (witnesses, screenshots, demos, etc) which are then posted at the clan homepage, and the server admin then makes the proper bans and such. I really hate when the admins get on a power trip and make stupid bans, but so far these guys are great about no abusing their power

Where you live? If you live near NC I can give you the server ips I play at if you want

I stopped playing CS/TFC at uni after the cheating exploded last year. Then I left uni and only have a 56k connection at home (not through choice!) 200-300 pings are a bit hard to swallow, so I've not played it since.

<< "getting" lame? Cheating killed CS long, long ago. >>

I just loaded CS about a week ago. I've tried playing several times, but it's difficult to learn how to play when you are getting killed the second you see someone (or, often don't see someone because of hacks). I'm not giving up on it, but I think I need to contact some buddies and get some new servers.

I used to play CS constantly, but I've really dropped it since the cheating got so bad. It used to be it was just a few who had managed to create their own cheat and maybe shared it with a few friends, but then that whole OCG thing came out and every dipsh!t in the world had an array of cheats at their disposal. I pretty much gave up at that point. It's still fun at LAN parties, but I'll generally play Ghost Recon if I need a "kill some peepz" fix.

I was playing it like mad in 2000 and then stopped for a break and then came back a while after, liked it, stopped for a break again. I tried most recently in fall of 2001 and it was still packed with newbies who suck ballz at the game. THat was to be expected though, but what wasn't was the rampant cheating. People were constnatly talking about it, accusing etc. I played for about 30 min and then deleted it. I'll never play again.

Please! I'm in SW VA so a NC would be fine :)

Though I think I'm routed through Philly or something like that

Since the day DoD 2.0 came out I haven't even fired up Counter-Strike. I've played DoD just about every day. If you see Pakaderm in your DoD game, say hi.

I kinda like playing against the odd cheater, it feels good to 0wn them. Especially when they have no concept of recoil, hit you with the first shot (generally in the head) and miss all the rest... you just gotta survive that first shot. :p

It seems to be that their is only one conclusion to get better in CS. I prefer to go to fileplanet and download all the hacking files to start cheationg but, theriaticaly speaking I dont play CS. I played in one life-time. Not the other life-time.;)

i wish i knew all of this before i bought CS. i haven't played once online because of cheaters. (being dumb) i didn't know that there was no single player game. i asked the guy at CompUSA and of course he said there is a single player game on it (@$$hole, should have know better, i know). so i never bothered to play online because there is no way i could get good at it with cheaters on the server. so i bought MOH:AA and love it....single player mode rocks!
