That's like 54mb for the HL patch and 87mb for the CS patch, but hey, at least you'll have a fresh install

I'm trying to help a kid with half life freeze up problems. Have installed latest vid driver and registry patch from Elsa, and latest patch from half life. What are these 54 meg and 87 meg patches? Here's his setup: Abit KT7a, duron 800, SB live, linsys nic, latest bios flash and 4in1 4.29.

87 megger is for counter-strike

Remember to do the hi-res texture tweak for original HL installs. Default for HL models is set lower than what CS offers: 256 or 512 model textures...

A big difference. You can see the hair on the skin... People who knows this can elaborate more.
