CS:GO Launching issue

When I go to launch CS:GO through steam it goes to a black screen and 75% of the time I get BSOD and 25% of the time it completely freezes needing a hard restart.

I've seen threads where for AMD FX chipsets you must update your Mobo bios to play... the link that all these threads give for the new beta bios update (for Gigabyte) gives me an error saying it won't work with Windows 7 64-bit.


Am I missing something or is there another fix? I would like to start playing
