Ok guys, ive been playing some CS recently, and i cant seem to get my fps over 72. I have a ati 9600 XT 128 mb, and no matter what res i play at, 72 fps is my max, is there a way to fix this? or is it permaneant?

The game is programmed to limit the FPS to 72Fps maximum. Why they chose that value I don't know. There is a way to change this but I don't know it. Perhaps a Google search?

ya fps_max 100 should fix that. If you would like to get over 100 type "fps_max 300" in console then "developer_1" in console but I've read it has had some bad side effects. Like moving problems etc.

Yep turn off v-sync and fps_max 100 in the console. Also, disabling anti-aliasing will increase your fps.

Keep V-sync on, it'll look better, and shouldn't have an affect on the fps...unless you're one of the ppl that are having fps drops with ATI cards (and this would happen with v-sync off anyway).
