CS - Crosshair Question

Anyone know were I can D/L or find a way to change my crosshairs? I would like a differant color or type. I know in games like Tribes ect.. You can D/L mods that let you choose more options for things like this. I cant seem to find anything on this or any other mod tweaks.

I may be wrong on this, but I think changing the crosshair might be considered so-called "cheating."

well, it is kinna cheat but most people don't mind. I, too, hate that yellowish color anyway.

I don't see how it is cheating. All you are doing is changing the bitmap that is overlaid onto the screen. I have used modified crosshairs for the sniper rifles since I started playing CS. I don't think there is a way to change the standard crosshair or for the SIG or AUG, just for the sniper scopes.

God i can barely see with the cross hairs sometimes, I hate the color.

FiringSquad: Do you consider replacing the crosshairs as cheating? How about buyscripts?


I do consider [changing crosshairs] cheating since I made them that way for a reason (ie. to make it more difficult to aim!!) I know that sounds sadistic and devious but the reason I did it that way was because I wanted to mimic how people aim in real life. In real life, the ease with which you can aim a weapon is dependant on the distance between the rear sights and the front sights which is why I made the handguns have a larger crosshair and the rifles a smaller crosshair. One can probably argue that this is a completely bad way of doing things but I feel it's a good representation of real life without being overly complex to use. Notice how difficult it is to get a headshot with a pistol at 100 yards with the new crosshairs vs. the old ones.
