CS and Integrated Intel Extreme graphics

I'm trying to buy a new laptop. I'm in college so what I really need is internet, word processing and counter strike, lol. All I want at this point is something small. I was looking at the dell 300m or 700m (feel free to put in suggestions for other small laptops). The dell 300m is the lesser of the two with:

Processor:
Intel® Pentium® M Centrino at 1.2GHz Low Voltage

Memory:
640MB DDR PC2100 SDRAM 2 DIMMS

Hard Drive:
30GB Ultra ATA Hard Drive 4200RPM

Video Card:
Intel® Extreme Graphics 64 MB shared memory

I was basically wondering if the video card was good enough along with the other parts to run counter strike at about 1024X960. Thanks

It should work fine. A GeForce4 MX can run CS, I'd hope the Intel "Extreme Graphics" could run it too.

be careful about cs.16 though~ its like 100000x bloat was added. In CS1.5 my FPS was always really high and i could toss as many smokes as possible without nary a slowdown, but in 1.6 I usually never top 40-50 with my mx420 and it get really bad if there are two smokes tossed around (I can manage one but i can't look directly at it)

I ran CS (.6 - 1.0) on my old TNT2 just fine, lol. I'm sure you'll be Okay. IIRC, when I got HL I had a Voodoo2, man, those were the days.

my friends comp was horrible at cs. it was an emachine with a celeron and 'intel extrem graphics' and it would lag constantly. cs wasnt playable and it was version 1.5

gaming on a laptop shouldnt be done with intel extreme graphics period
