CS 1.6 studders w/hyperthreading

i installed my 2.6c and it seems to stutter in CS 1.6 running stock. I disabled HT and game runs run. can anyone help me out. thanks

2x Corsair xms2700 at pc3200
zalman 7000 cooler

problem solved had to reinstall, actually it turned out to be the Abit OCGuru. it must have been using the cpu cycles when ht was enabled in the background. hope this helps someone out
