Crystal Reports question

I'm using Crystal 11, making a report to display help desk tickets closed/opened within a date range. I am using a date range parameter rather than a record select, so i'm wanting to display the date range on the report itself, so my boss knows what he is looking at.

I tried simply dragging the parameter field in to the text object box but that displays nothing.
