Yeah it's a crummy 15" CRT monitor with Max Res at 1024x768 at 60Hz. Think I'm gonna go blind one of these days but ah well, at least I get good framerates running it at 1024x768x32 + quincunx on my ti200 ;)

I used to use a 14"/13" viewable monitor with my old i740 8MB AGP :)

Upgraded to NEC 17", then upgraded to Philips 19" 109S :D

my pops a US Veteran, and i don't give him any respect:Q:D:Q whatever he is, the guy has some problems, and he needs to check his aggression at the door. if what he showed in this thread is his general attitude, then he is never going to get any help from people on this forum or from anyone in life in general. i hope he never acts like that to a street gang: a black belt in whatever doesn't help much against an UZI.

I told myself I was not going to revisit this thread, let alone post another comment. But the continued responses truely amaze me. This thread was started asking for comments, ideas etc. as to the push-pins on the Crystal Orb. True, I may have been a dumbass and tried to install them through the wrong holes.

Here's the point I think all of you are failing to see: The explanation of that fact could have been made without the sarcasim in FlowerBoy's first post. There's no need to show wit in these responses. What really kills me is all of you defend the guy who started the whole mess! Be it the internet or not, it's still a community. In the community I grew up in, an insult is not taken lightly.

To enlighten you people who have contributed negative comments, let me clarify a few things:

I grew up in the streets of Detroit; fighting has been a way of life for me. I was a two time state champion wrestler in high school. I'm 6'2", 265lbs, bench press: 370lbs, squat: 490lbs, and am very quick for my size. A black belt is not all I have to offer. I am skilled with throwing axes and knives. I own and carry a Glock, and have numerous auto and semi-auto weapons. Yes, I am a veteran, a former Army Ranger, Sniper, and have Master Jump Wings. I've seen chared and bloodied bodies. I have killed with my hands. I have eaten worms, grasshoppers, beetles, and slugs, and "other things" best not mentioned due to legal implications. There is not much I fear in life; though the thought of where I'm going afterwards is a bit chilling.

With all that said, cetainly one must wonder if people like me exist in our society. The answer is yes. I encourage any of you who live near a large city to take a day off from your routine and visit the worst neighborhood in town. Drive around at night. Look for signs. If you're really brave, get out and walk...

*shrug* whatever. maybe i grew up in the hanoi hilton and i eat babies along with my cream of wheat every morning. doesn't give me the excuse to act up on the forums. one of my uncles was a Navy Seal involved in SOG. at 55 he could probably still chew up a squad of former rangers who grew up on the streets of detroit and who have eaten insects. god knows he did it to the viet cong. he's also very soft spoken and non aggressive. the former SAS trooper i know is the same way. most truly professional killers don't advertise who they are with bravada and false machismo. my uncle lives in atlanta. maybe i should have him look you up.

[edit: by the way, the university i go to is near the worst part of town, and i have to go there whenever i want to see a symphony concert, as the area around music hall has gone from being a affluent neighborhood to a ghetto. most people who go to large city universities have to go to the inner city every day. i must say that i'm not particuraly intimidated, and i don't have to claim that i benchpress so and so amounts of weight to get by. bravada usually hides a psychological weakness. what's yours, SteelSix?]

oh my god you're SO tough. you need help. what are you trying to prove? maybe you should rejoin the service...seems like you're having a hard time adjusting back to civilian life...or learn to relax

btw, my geforce is faster than yours

Edipis: I don't think your uncle can take on a squad of ex-rangers... rangers nowdays are experts at gracie jujitsu and regularly choke out seals when they meet each other at schools such as sot, ranger, etc

All I can think of to say is stop being so uptight. We also don't care what you've eaten. I had chicken and stuffing for dinner tonight if that means anything to you. I also enjoy Italian food.

RgrPark: i was being sarcastic when i said that. my uncle is interested only in rebuilding old cars. his killing days are over :D. if he hasn't forgotten everything he knew, and they were in a heavily wooded area, he could probably take them out one by one with a rifle. you get good at hiding and striking from the shadows when you are just a small squad staking out a large enemy force in a country that legally you shouldn't be in.

I got $100.00 on Steel Six!

Steel, you shouldnt let someone with a name like Flowerman get to you like that.

<< hope he never acts like that to a street gang: a black belt in whatever doesn't help much against an UZI. >>

Not true! Keenu Reaves dodged all those bullets in the Matrix, Next thing you know you all will be telling me that wasnt real ;)

Steel, I forgot to ask if you lapped your Orb before you put in on? My Dell Radeon should be arriving sometime next year and
Im wondering if I should lap my blew orb or not? Also Does anyone know if you can take off something that was put on
with Artic Silver Epoxy? I know our alcohol at work with soften regular 2 ton 15min epoxy overnight but Im not sure about the AS Epoxy.

Hehe this thread is funny :D

Reminds me of that scene from Boogie Nights:

Chest Brockwell "So....how much do you squat?"

Dirk Diggler "Um 220, how about you?"

hehe
