Every reply on that page says "access denied". I don't wanna be a downer danny here, but seems like the odds are bleak.

Multiplayer Crysis. On the Warhead engine, so it runs better than the original Crysis Multiplayer. They added a new game mode too.

It took about 8 hours to download with DSL, and is over 5GB in size. Haven't installed it yet. Not sure it's worth the trouble for just another 9 days.
Any feedback on the potential fun factor?

I own Crysis Wars and I must say that if it wouldn't have been for its great multi-player (it really is fun) I would have regretted buying it (and it's on Steam in my case, I couldn't even give it to a friend if I wanted, and that sucks, but fortunately I like the multi-player, thanks Crytek for that).

I played it the last time it was free, and I think it is certainly worth the trouble of installing. I still had it installed, so I patched it up and played a round on one of the new maps last night, and it was quite entertaining. Pretty good vehicle combat, similar to BF2 or BF2142. Or you can do infantry only if you just pick the right map.
Actually, after the trial is over, you may find you are still able to play on a few "rogue" servers that don't check licenses against the master servers. They will also tell you you can use the copy you download to play over a LAN, indefinately.

Crysis Wars... I just played it for the first time today. The team deathmatch is a good addition, and the vehicle controls are vastly improved from Crysis. I had fun on the infantry only maps, but those are few and far between. The vehicle maps dominate, and they're impossible to get running smoothly on my pc. Must be a cpu bottleneck, even lowered settings drop into the teens on an all too regular basis. The infantry maps run smoothly on the Enthusiast shader setting, though.

I didn't find the vehicle maps too engaging. Fun for a bit but then painfully tedious.

Overall, I don't see myself sticking with Crysis Wars for very long at all. The wait for BF3 continues...
