Crysis Warhead and DX10 problem

For some reason Crysis Warhead will not run in DX10 mode. I have all the Warhead patches and ATI 9.4 drivers and can run the game in DX9 but not DX10. It used to work but no longer will run in DX10. I have reinstalled the game and tried serveral different ATI drivers with no luck. All other games on my rig run just fine. I can play Warhead in DX9 all day with no problems. When I launch Warhead in DX10 mode it gets to 98% load (I can hear the game sound) and just sits there. I can do a "cntrl alt del" and logoff and that kill the game. I then log back on and launch it in DX9 and plays fine. I have the latest DX downloads and all Vista patches (just installed the MSDN released version of SP2 same problem with SP1).
 
I think this is more a common problem...I am having the same issue as well.

Trying uninstalling the game...deleting every instance of Warhead...like saved profiles...then use Registry Mechanic or some form of registry cleaner and try reinstalling.
 
Thanks, I have removed all the profiles bit did not go through the registry. DX9 version is not bad and I love GTA4 right now so I am playing GTA4 all the time. I let you know if I find anything.
 
Hell yeah! After the 1.3 patch GTA4 IS FINALLY PLAYABLE...Ive actually been playing it like non-stop for the past couple days after realizing that they came out with a new patch...the 1.2 patch was the last one I knew of and even then it worked like shit...1.3 is totally awesome though.
