This does not necessarily mean anything. There have been other games in the past that kept using Securom in their Steam versions.

Yeah, I'd like the OP to explain how he came to the conclusion that the game won't include SecuROM.

I'm not touching it before it's 100% confirmed that it won't include securom. I'd consider buying it if it's just regular steam protection as it looks like a pretty fun game but theirs no way i'm putting securom back on my system after what I went through with Mass Effect..

Well, its not 100% certain per say. But I do know that DRM is the publisher's prerogative. EA is doing the retail versions, but not the Steam versions, Empire Interactive is.

EDIT: Apparently, EA is doing the steam versions. They must have edited overnight... STill no news on whether there is SecurRom on Steam.
