Crysis...Preorder and Special Edition

Both the Preorder and the Special Edition come with a special download of an AVC vehicle.

I was wondering if it's the same vehicle in the Preorder and the Special Edition.

Does anyone know?

i dunno but im downloadin the game right now

was hittin 3.8MB/sec but as i think more people saw it was available, down to 2.2MB/Sec


with the preorder i got some crysis art kit downloaded as well if that is what you mean.

I ran the demo fine but didn't play around on the highest settings, looked like a Far Cry Redux with more features.

2 year old system, only recent upgrade was the GPU.

Wonder if I can push it some more?

BTW for those downloading it, I read on the Crysis forum that the download is a Preload only, won't be activated until release day.

I'm leaning that way too. I want to play this at 1680x1050 at Very High settings. I think the best path for me will be to grab the Orange Box when it goes on sale and play TF2 to tide me over until I can afford one of the refreshed 8800 series graphics cards.

From what I've seen - even the 8800GT can't play 1680x1050 at Very High.

Mother %$&@*&^ EA. I was up late with company into the wee hours. Just got up, looking forward to playing some Crysis to find the download was for pre-load only. The e-mail notification they sent didn't say "pre-load." It says "released" and "available."

What a bunch of crap. I despise that kind of misleading garbage. EA needs to be smacked down hard for for pulling that stunt.

I got the preorder at Frys and it had a poster, the art disk, and a peice of paper that has the information on it for the "Exclusive vehical download".

I couldn't tell if its the same one as in the Special Edition though.....

I play the game on all "High" settings and 4x AA. It's very playable (around 30 fps I would guess) until I am up close to the enemy and firing and moving quickly... then I chop up and get about 10fps or so, but only for a second or 2.

Specs:
X2 4400+ @ stock clock 2.2Ghz
4x512 PC3200 Kingston HyperX
8800GTS 640 @ stock levels
Vista Ultimate

how do you get the APC vehicle, I have the SE and I have looked for it on all 3 discs and nothing. What gives?

I second that. I had to drop to 1028x768 on Mediam with no AA to get why I consider comfortable framerates. How can people play fps's at 40fps!?

EDIT: 8800GTS(320) with C2D over here. And da 2gig.
