Crysis or Crysis Warhead?

Which one would you guys recommend playing before Crysis 2. I already have crysis 2 and started it a bit. Love the game, so I think I'll play one of the prequels to maximize my experience.

Also picked up STALKER: Call of Pripyat. Should I play this without any mods or with mods that improve the game?

My GPU is nothing special, just a 4850 1gb. Any advice to improve experience in the mentioned games is appreciated.

And oh yea, I finished my exams 😎

Thanks.

Crysis warhead because ammo picks up automatically, it gets old wandering about picking up ammo in crysis after you killed a bunch of guys. Apart from that crysis is still pretty good, maybe there's a mod to get ammo to pick up automatically and if that is the case play both. Great games.

Which of the 2 has a better storyline that would help in knowing what is going in Crysis 2?

Thanks.

Crysis Warhead is more like Crysis 2. You can also download the CCC custom configs for better performance without sacrificing too much eyecandy. The original Crysis gives you the basic story line.

Ok thanks, I also did some reading through links given by google. Seems like Warhead is the way to go.

Thanks guys.

Id say they are the same for me. But that damn ship "whatever the hell it was" that I could never find my way out of. For shit sake, I hated that part.

Yep. I would say I enjoyed them both about equally. Both rocked.

But yeah, that zero gravity level sucks. I got almost to the end of that level one time but then stopped playing the game. The next time through I just downloaded a save game for the level after it. I plan to do the same when I play it again.

After buying Crysis 2, it makes me want to go back and play them again which I'll probably do. I guess Warhead was supposed to be more action intense, and it is some, but I enjoy both aspects: stealth and slower gameplay, as well as more action.

The original Crysis has more realistic graphics, Warhead made it more "stylized" with its colors, best analogy I can think of is like a Bulletstorm make-over...

I didn't like Crysis Warhead, Crysis was a much better game (imo). I've just started stalker, and you should dl the 'Stalker Complete' mods for all the Stalker games. Even though Clear Sky had bad ratings I'm digging it and playing it before the other two.

I liked both, I prefer the original.

And contrarily to what seems to be the majority I really liked the alien level (zero gravity), in my opinion the atmosphere in that level was awesome, and I for one had no problems "navigating" in it or finding my way around, some players may have had problems positioning themselves though, I guess.

Havent' player Crysis 2, but from what I've heard the story isn't really connected anyway. And the story was pretty dumb in crysis 1 so I don't think that should be a concern. But crysis 1 is still a great game, to me it sounds better than the sequel (more open, choice etc).
But if you want a good story put down the videogames and read a book😛

ps: congrats. Stay in school..

warhead is short from what i recall
crysis original is what i'd go with.

It may have seemed short because there is less running around from point A to point B and scavenging. Warhead is way more action packed and they streamlined some mechanics to make the gameplay more smooth.

Why not play both games? The stories are nothing too thrilling in my opinion on both games, but running around a pretty island and blowing shit up is just great fun.
