i searched but didn't find anything relevant.

i've re-insytalled this game 4x now. first, i didn't realize audio and video needed new drivers. then updated dx10 (which i thought i had ...). then updated my chipsets. updated my logitech kb/mouse combo (l700)

all the same problem though. my mouse is never synched up to where i'm pointing. i sometimes need to be pointed 3" below where i am highlighting. this makes it ridiculously difficult to change game settings and impossible to actually start the game :|

i'm running vista 64, all updated
8800gts 640with 169.09 (newest)
680i mobo with realtek hd audio
e6400 @ 3.0

if typically opens in 800x1200 i think, but it's tucked up into the vorner of my sammy 226bwt. i can manage with the arrow keys to change the res to 1680x1050 and get full screen checked, but still my mouse if like 3-4" of mark???

 x 1000

help?

edit- the demo ran fine for me. i'va alo disabled a/v when installing (not sure why that's even necessary but w/e)

alt+enter while in-game will bring you to windowed mode. Set your desired resolution. There are some other tricks as well. Google "crysis mouse problem."

Good luck! EA support sucks. I guess the best we can hope for is a corrective patch.

My "workaround" for the problem was to play it in XP instead of Vista ... its not as pretty using DX-9c but framerates are considerably higher & it fired up on the first try with no issues whatsoever.

Edit: Note that my main PC dual-boots Vista Ultimate & XP-Pro so its as accurate a performance comparision as possible.

Thank you for contacting Electronic Arts Technical Support. I apologize for the difficulty you're having with Crysis.

This is usually caused by having additional USB peripherals connected. The game detects these peripherals as input devices. To resolve this problem, disconnect any devices that are not in use during gameplay, such as gamepads, joysticks, or steering wheels. If no other input devices are attached, you should try disconnecting and reconnecting your USB keyboard and/or mouse.

i unplugged everything but my readyboost drive and no luck.

Perhaps it time you try MY workaround instead! ;)

I had a few goofy issues until I loaded the new beta drivers from Nvidia and disabled my nvidia network manager. It now runs flawlessly on Vista ultimate 64bit w/ 8800gt

i'll try re-installing it without the gampepads i had plugged in before tho i doubt i'll get a change.

I'd like to reinstall XP so I can play.. how can I setup a dual boot with XP and Vista?

I'm trying to return Crysis (download version) back to EA, and purchasing a hard copy... EA didn't even give me an editor installer or .exe in any of the games directory... how BS is that... Not to mention my game didn't run with any of the vista drivers released thus far.

If you already have Vista installed your best bet is to use a 3rd-party boot manager which allows you to hide partitions & prevent the OS's from seeing each other ... the problem is that Vista & XP use very different & incompatible versions of the MBR.

If you don't want to buy any additional software & arn't prepared to re-install both OS's the right way (ie: XP first then Vista) you can still do it but its a bit of a pain... refer to this thread on the Pro-Networks forum for detailed instructions listed in the first few pages, also download & install the free program Vista Boot-pro.
