Crysis FPS expecting on:

Before anyone flames I know this game is a killer on all systems. Can some one with a similar spec give me some FPS around areas below.

I run Crysis 1440@900 All settings @ Medium and Motion Blur turned off.

Jungle: 35 FPS
Beach: 30 FPS
open areas (villages): 28 FPS

Reason I ask is that we just built a computer for my friend Core Duo 3Ghz, 2GB mem but with an ATI 3850 512 OC edition and he is getting almost double FPS in all areas @ the same settings...
 
I don't know for sure but your results do sound very low. I suppose my spec can be classified as similar however I get >60fps with the settings you mentioned running along the beach in the level. Motion blur still on tho so it drops to 55 if I spin around in circles. This is under vista ultimate also with DX10 enabled. Maybe its the video memory holding you back?
 
Do you notice lower than expected performance in any other games? Have you run any benchmarks like 3DMark and found anything suspicious? Are you using the latest drivers?
 
I have never noticed an issue with any other game normally I just max them all out. I do have the latest drivers but I think I might try the beta just to change them up a bit 🙂
 
OK I had totally forgot that I was running the latest beta driver which is perfect in all other games. I installed the current release and it took my FPS on average to:

Jungle: 55 FPS
Beach: 50 FPS
open areas (villages): 35 FPS

So I am a happy bunny again!
