Crysis DX9 mod?

Can you mod the files like the demo in order to get more of the special lighting effects to run under DX9 in the full version?

If so does anyone have links to the proper files that I would need? Reason being is that DX10 is unplayable, and although with the mod you didn't get all the DX10 effects, it was better than just playing DX9 alone.
