I know this is a bit dated game by now, but still regarded highly for its graphics.

What's the best looking mod/config my humble 5850 doing 900/1250 might be able to handle @ 1080p? Don't really care about changes to AI or gameplay, just want something looks real sweet - an all out eye candy if you wanna call it that. The names I keep hearing are CUUDATS, Extreme Quality mod and Real Lifesis.

Am I just beating the dead horse? I mean, does warhead look better? If anything, it is more optimized than the vanilla Crysis for better fps I have heard..

EDIT: ok, looks like I have missed this post on my first search: http://forums.anandtech.com/showthread.php?t=2068355&highlight=crysis+mod
Gonna give it a try now 🙂

I got it on steam and only played vanilla but on the last board it was always freeze in dx10.... I do not know if they ever fixed it. Just an fyi

Yeah I forgot to write that I have finished the game all the way through. It was a bit sluggish on my 4830 but played ok, and that was like 2 years ago. Seeing how it is still considered one of the best out there, I just wanted some sort of graphical benchmark for the new(er) video card on my machine.

Hey! Since i got my 460 1GB I finally decided to play through since I could actually turn it up to a reasonable level. Game looks amazing.

Check this out this is what I used, worked like a charm, my lowest FPS i saw was ~27

make sure you use the time of day addon to, makes morning and sunset looks amazing. Night gets a strange grain effect, but it seems pretty cool to me.
