Gonna play through the game again and wanna run the game as maxed out as possible.
Meaning past Ultra Quality.

Theres so many configs and TODs out there.
Anyone wanna suggest a combo that brings systems to their knees but look awesome!

Im running
Win7 64bit
Q6600 @ 3.6ghz
8gb DDR2
2 X gtx 280's in sli
X-Fi

So i really want something that pushes the max the game can do with no "pop - up" shadows or objects as i walk.

Framerate is secondary, i can always edit files for more fps, but getting the most visual quality is a skill i just never seemed to have when tweaking the config myself.



 
16Q AA supersampling + transparency + 16xAF. Even on a Tri SLI 285 OC setup I'd be surprised if you could average over 20fps.

You are gonna be at about 20fps on Ultra settings from the game anyway, and no amount of config files tweaking will fix that. If you want some of the more visual mods, checkout Crymod.com i think that's it, that's the place to start.
 
My favorite is one called "Cuban-Ultima-Doom-Assassin47-Taowolf-Sword's Custom Crysis Configs [CCC]"

I also use a high-res texture pack which weighs in at over 2GB and improves quality significantly with little to no framerate impact.

CCC 2.21 is now installed, very nice. (installed level 6 and TOD w/sharp shadows)
I'd love to know what high-res texture pack you're using. 😀
 
my personal favorite is a map called castaway. Also I would use the cuudats custom configuration for better fps.
