Crysis 3 on integrated graphics

I'm on the laptop in my signature because my desktop isn't working right now. I want to play the new crysis 3 beta, and with CryEngine's scalability, I thought it might be able to take it a little bit on the integrated graphics.

I downloaded and installed everything in about an hour or so without any problems (wow my connection worked for once). I clicked play in origin, and when I did so, I got an error saying "You need a DX11 compatible GPU to play Crysis 3 Open MP Beta".

This surprised me, because when I run dxdiag it says DirectX Version: DirectX 11. Does that mean the system is capable of DX11, but not the GPU? I'm just a little confused because this is my first run in with integrated chips. Up until now I've always had a discrete card.

Try running dxdiag to see what version it actually is supporting, can run from the start menu.
edit : you ran this , sorry.

edit: I pulled this from google images: Just for example. I do not know if there is a discrete card in this rig/image..

final edit:

I have a dx10.1 HD 4770 in another rig. All updates. It shows dx11 in dxdiag, and I know the card is not dx11 capable.
Software like Heaven will fall back and run without tessellation on a dx11.exe on that computer, but a beta, Crysis 3, which only supports dx11 , probably will not.

The dx 10.1 HD 4770 :

The Intel HD Graphics you are using (built into that Celeron) is not capable of DX11. You may have the software installed in Windows, but your hardware is incapable of it.

I doubt the CPU & GPU are fast enough for Crysis 3 either...

Alright, thanks. Looks like I'll be waiting until this weekend when I fix my desktop to play. Unfortunately, I'm going to buy BF3 too! So I just won't have the time for all these shenanigans. If only I hadn't broken pins on my CPU :/

I completely understand this, and I was just going to run it as a test. This thing struggles with the simplest of games yet can run higher end ones just as well. Minecraft with all settings down reaches 30fps sometimes, but Starcraft 2 can reach 40 at times, so I just don't know with this little thing. Thought I'd see just how scalable CryEngine 3 really was.

I dont even think it has DX11. Its a low end CPU/IGP. Even if it was HD4000 it would struggle with it.
