Amazon is selling the PC download version of Crysis 2 for $52.22, and you also get a $15 credit towards other game purchases. If you buy the retail box for the same price, then you get a $10 credit.

Good price if you buy games at Amazon regularly. You could put this $15 towards Portal 2 PS3 (which comes with a Steam key for the PC version), making it $40, and then get another $20 credit on Portal 2 when it ships.

I saw this in hot deals, and I think I'm gonna bite. That credit will definitely be used. Maybe even on Portal 2 PS3 like the OP mentioned.

The word is getting out fast that Crysis 2 sucks on the PC. One PC hardware reviewer complained that his 10 year old son loves the game, but he'd still rather have his $60.oo back. Whether its a good deal then just depends on your taste.

I think it's pretty awesome so far, about an hour in. It looks really good IMO, I've played about 20 minutes of the 360 version, and I can tell you, the PC version smokes it performance wise and visually. Yeah, it's still DX9, and that sucks, and there's not a lot of settings to play with as far as graphics are concerned.

After you play the PC version, the 360 version kind of feels like it's moving in slow motion, and there are some pretty noticeable frame rate issues on the 360 version, while the PC version is running smooth as butter as extreme settings and looks good doing it.

Crytek made 3 amazing looking PC games that pushed the hell out of technology that wasn't even out yet, but none of those games were really great as games, they were always impressive ass tech demos. I think Crysis 2 is finally them digging into a storyline and running with it. Yeah, maybe it plays a little too much like Cal of Duty, but I'm still having a blast with what it does that Call of Duty doesn't.

Crysis 2 looks worse in most cases to the first two crysis games on the pc. in Crysis 2 the textures are horrendous, all the graphical options are locked down completely (encrypted), AA is done very poorly, its just a complete mess.
