Crysis 2 maximum edition vc++ error...

Trying to install Crysis 2 Maximum edition from Origin but I keep getting "The vc++ runtime redistributable package was not installed"

Any suggestions?

I tried everything they said and nothing worked...

THEN they said try creating a new profile and see if it works that way...

I created and new profile and it worked, but I want to know WHY?
