Crysis 2 is the best FPS on the PS3

There are better FPS games out there in the world, but they're exclusive to the xbox 360.

Crysis 2 is a pretty darn good game, better than killzone or resistance if only for the art style. I never played the first crisis, but this is pretty good.

ive never played crysis 2 on ps3 but i played crysis on pc for a bit and didnt like it.

resistance is the best FPS this gen for consoles IMO.

most people are too A.D.D. for Crysis games. The story is way too involved and you really do have to pay attention to every detail. It's a thinking man's shooter.

they're also pretty difficult.

It is absolutely difficult to even see the enemies.

I end up just stealthing and running past.

I'm more concerned about your statement "there are better FPS games out there, but they're exclusive to the 360". Why is this concerning? Because the only FPS exclusive I can think of is Halo, and that's been the same boring MP focused crap it's been for years. Not even in the same league.

having recently (yesterday) beaten crysis 2, other then shear graphics it really isnt much if any better then Halo or other games. Sure the gamneplay is different but better is a matter of opinion. story was no better or worse IMO

Definitely a matter of opinion. I had a lot more fun with my single player run through of Crysis 2 than any of the Halo games. Halo has charm for MP to me, and only because you can split screen it with more people than any other shooter. Black Ops let you split screen online with your buddy and that's when Halo lost its final competitive advange to me.

Halo's MP died after 2 to me.

I'd definitely be interested in hearing the other "better" shooters exclusive to the 360. Crysis 2 was decently fun but there are plenty of other FPS's on PS3 that'd I'd consider better (Resistance, Borderlands, etc).

In the end its all a matter of opinion. As said before, a game's fun factor is very subjective.

It's a thinking man's shooter.

I tend to think the best of people, yet I am unable to deny the certainty that you wrote this without a trace of irony.

Crysis wasn't bad for a tech demo. It's good to hear they tried to make an actual game with the sequel.

Halo Reach was way above Crysis 2 in all aspects, single and multiplayer. I'll give you the Halo franchise had been a bit stale since the first (with Halo 2's multiplayer being an exception to that), however, Crysis 2 was awful in every sense of the word.

Oh Lordy Lorks.

One day you will look back on this post and wonder what on earth possessed you to type it.

Crysis 2 was a mediocre game, not in the top 5 PS3 FPS. I played it on the PC at 1080P and it was still not worthy of the $25 I paid.

Lame AI
Power were unbalanced
Story was nonsensical
Ending was lame

I'll take KZ2, KZ3, R1, R3 and a few others before I touch C2 again.

yeah so I figured out why so many people dislike the game.

It's basically that it's too realistic, and paradoxically isn't really scripted enough.

It's kind of in-between a more realistic shooter like Call of Duty and sci-fi fantasy like Halo.

Except with Halo, you can actually see your opponents. In Crysis 2 the enemy knows how to use cover -- which is realistic but also very frustrating. Since most battles are also at range, you really never see your enemy.

In Halo, you often have enemies that try to melee attack or enemies that move close to you.

Compared to Call of Duty it feels like this game isn't that scripted. You also don't have squad mates which makes it feel kind of desolate.

So basically they should either have a) given you squad mates or b) made it slightly less realistic and made the enemies move closer.

Crysis 2 is like they took the worst elements of Halo and CoD, smashed them together with a hadron-collider and served them in a platter of solid crap.
