Never known you to be shy with the voltage tweak maybe it's not such a good idea to max out .... these Fermi cards hard lock your computer if the OC isn't stable or the voltage/PCB temp is to high.

What was your original OC? Have you tried more conservative OC's?? At least tell us what you've done so far.

I did 1050/2100/2600Mhz and blackops has worked. But other hungry games like Crysis 2 and NFS is shuts off the computer ,

Soo what kinda OC numbers are people getting.

i was 1050/core and 2600Mhz on video ram..

Where do most stop it, OCing or Voltaging tweaking ?

thx

Could be your power supply engaging its safety mechanisms. Shutting down when drawing too much power is what it's supposed to do. With those really huge overclocks you're sucking up a lot of power.

It sounds like you pushed the card too hard and it's no longer stable at the overclock you were running it at. Not really that surprising given you have a stock cooled card overclocked by almost 30% and significantly overvolted.

Also the memory o/c is higher than I've ever seen at any review site. I'm pretty sure this was mentioned in your other o/c thread.
You have never found a stable o/c.

2600MHz RAM? You mean 1300MHz right? Your card has GDDR5 memory so you either list real frequency or you quadruple that number to get marketing(effective)frequency. Anyway, 1300MHz GDDR5 on nVidia is a lot, I don't even clock memory that high on my 5870s(940\1280). AMD has way better GDDR5 memory controllers than nVidia. I'm surprised that your card was even usable with that high memory clock.

MSI afterburner shows Nvidia memory clocks that way 2X.
My show
890 core
1780 shader
1980 memory

If the OC is fine in some games, but not in others, it's because the OC isn't 100% stable. I've had this problem before, and all you need to do is back off from the uber OC.

Been O/C'ing that 560ti for four years, have you? That's the O/C that's likely not stable. Although, it is possible it's the CPU... (or RAM, or PSU, or MoBo BIOS, etc.)

If a PC crashes while O'C'd the first thing you do to trouble shoot is to turn everything down to stock. Until you do that you can't even begin to diagnose the problem.

Whats with the sarcasm mate?..its quite obviously I was referring to the CPU clock as everyone knows the 560ti isnt a yr old yet...
This place is rough enough with the Red v Green tussles without that sort of shit as well....
