I have been playing Crysis 2 on the PC, I love it! I will say the playable features and easy to use all your nanosuit upgrades are a bit easier than the first one. I remember the rumor that the PC gamers will not get the full potential from the first one, since they had to "Dummy" it down for console platforms as well.

To be honest, its a pretty decent game.

For the Bugs. Anyone else run into a character freeze at the part where you grab the alien DNA sample and aquire that NanoVision upgrade? After I get it, my character just sticks and wont move. I have the 1.1 patch and seeing that the 1.2 Patch is supposed to do something with Evenbalance (Punkbuster) and enable DirectX11. I will give it a shot on see what happens.

The killer issue for me is Crossfire/SLI not being usable unless you want to go into an epileptic seizure. Crossfire/SLI not working correctly, really Crytek, really??? I mean come on, the simple fact that it has Crysis in it's name at all should give you a pretty good idea a disproportionate number of users will be running multi-gpu setups and they couldn't even get that right? I could chalk this up to being just an AMD driver bug if not for the fact it's happening to just as many nVidia users, I would think this being a TWIMTBP title they would make sure this at least went smoothly in SLI. Again, really Crytek, really?

I haven't played a game this buggy since Oblivion at launch. They really should have spent another couple months working out the kinks.

By far the worst issue is the cheat detection. There seems to be no config file validation even on ranked servers so client file tweaks work in multiplayer also without even using external cheat programs.

Video as an example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2GwFRb7pxAI

The energy drain, regen and weapon damage are all tweaked in that video to have a instant killing, near infinite sprinting and armor mode using, faster than everyone, instant energy regen player demolish people online. I've also heard tales of people using abilities that were disabled server side like cloak and whatnot.

That and spawn points could use improvement. I spawned a couple times about 10 meters away from an enemy spawning in the same room.

I suspected as such though. I'm not great at FPS games, but I'm also not bad in games from Battlefield BC2 to Team Fortress 2 and everything in between but on some servers I couldn't manage even a 1:5 kill/death ratio and have the team lose something like 17 kills to 50 with one guy up there at 30 kills and 2 deaths.

I expect this to be a easy and fast fix in a patch very soon. It's trivial to program in server side forced variables, IIRC Quake 2 or Unreal had it way back in the day so it's not like it's a new idea.

IMO this doesn't even come close to that. I have yet to have Crysis freeze or crash to desktop on me, but in Oblivion I couldn't play for an hour without it dumping to desktop for no reason. Its definitely buggy but Bethesda is in a category all their own when it comes to bugs.

Got to the Semper Fi mission and the sound (and scripts) bugged out on me. Tried going back 2 missions and no dice with it working. I've filed it alongside DA2 in the "NEEDS serious patching" pile before playing again.

Also had the Nanosuit energy reset glitch aswell.

Thank you all for your responses! So, this seems like Crytek has lost their touch on making good games these days. Actually, in the past 2 years of gaming, about every FPS game that gets released has issues. I know that nothing comes out perfect, but it seems like the market is in so much demand. I blame the publisher companies for pushing the developers to "hurry" with these new titles without proper testing time.

Really the only bugs I had issues with were AI pathfinding issues, and naocatalyst points resetting.

Didn't really get into the MP yet so I haven't experienced those bugs yet.
