Crysis 2 may well be the very first game that looks worse than the original. Has that happened before?
Not impressed by the screenshots at all. THey look average.
the piece of crap game will not even let me create an account. it keeps saying the account i am trying to create was not successful...
Isn't the demo multiplayer only? If so, it won't be representative of what the single player frame experience will be like.
I hope the demo has full on dx11 graphics. A trend in PC demos seems to be limiting the available graphics options (Dragon Age 2, AvP, Dirt 2...)
Because multiplayer demos are made to appeal to a wider audience and they don't want to waste their bandwidth having people download content their computer isn't capable of playing.HAHAHAHHAAHAHAHAHAA I completely called this one. No DX11 in the demo.
WTF do publishers/developers do this?
On the Pier, I was getting about 36fps average on Hardcore, at 2560x1600 with the rig in the sig. Graphics card usage was at 98% on both cards.

son of a bitch this is just pissing me off. an account on gamespy will do no good because all that is is an email and pass. you need to make a nick and pass to play the game. and yes I tried my gamespy email and pass first just to see. well after 15 minutes of trying I did finally create an account on mycrysis.com and that info was sent to my email. however I cant confirm it because when I click on the confirmation link it just goes to a freaking page to reset the password. It's a running problem with EA games that are tied into the crappy gamespy system.
If you make an account on gamespy's site, then go to the demo and create an account using the same password and email for the gamespy account you created and whatever random account name you want, it will work.
i guess crossfire is not working either?

there is no tessellation occurring if it is only DX9.Groover is getting about 30 fps vs crossfired 5870's 36fps. Might this be the gtx480 tessalaters working better? And Mrk 6's 6950 is getting about 38 fps and the 6 series has better tessalation also.
Or is this theory just crap because its all directx 9 anyway?
Mabe crossfire is just running like crap but he did say 98% usage with both cards?

*edit: No mention of DX11 - In game graphic adjustments are limited to Gamer, Advanced, and Hardcore - No adjustment of AA... doesn't bode well for us PC enthusiasts. Though i am sure we will be able to tweak the config
Crysis 2 Nvidia Benchmarks Article said:In terms of the latest generation GPUs, all but the GTX 560 Ti could legitimately max out Crysis 2 on Hardcore at 2560x1600.
When did 35.7fps become legitimately maxing out a game?
