I've played "Hacker" for a while (a pc game) and it came with a "bonus" disk of encripted content. It says that you need to figure out various clues to discover the passwords to open the content (mostly developer journal pages). I am wondering if their is a public decryption program out there to brute force the encryption. In one way that would be more fun than solving all the little puzzles...

Any suggestions?

Brute force the passwords. That's probably the easiest, especially since you didn't post the algorithm. :p

You didn;t answered his question, he asked what programs out there that can brute force the encyrption, any ideas?

I've no idea myself.

A good start might be to search for encrypted.

I didn't give him specifics, but he can now google for information on brute forcing passwords.

Lol. The very fastest way would be to google for the game and the encrypted content. Instead of finding the passwords yourself by running a guess program and hoping they didn't use extended characters and case sensitive 16 character passwords, you can probably just find someone who has done it already...
