Crutchfield ROCKS

I figure I bitch about companies when they screw me over so I should spend the time to praise a few as well.. I ordered an amp and the cables required for an install from Crutchfield.. When I went to get an install the installer pointed out the 2 pairs of cables were female to male instead of male to female so I had to buy new wires from the store.. I called crutchfield about their error and they offered to refund the $16 that I paid at best buy and not the $10 purchase price! I've never heard of such awesome customer service... They also told me to keep the cables..

crutchfield is a very good company, unfortunately their pricing structure is generally full retail price. I love going their to look at their high rez images of audio/vid equipment though

its probably because they overcharge you on their merchandise 😛

edit: lol, yeah, i love using their site to look at detailed specs, photos, and the like...
for that i thank you crutchfield! oh, and the free catalogs and cd 😉

All true, but they do have decent prices when they close out models, like the Denon 2802 for $599 with full warranty, or the Polk RT28 bookshelf speakers for $199/pair. Also, their shipping is dirt cheap on speakers and receivers, lower than UPS rates.

Yeah, I'm leery of some of these online stereo equipment sellers... if I can't find what I want locally, I will usually get it from Crutchfield. I don't mind the slightly higher prices because they really do such a great job.

Crutchfield rocks and they were good for buying car audio equiptment for the first time but now that I know what I'm doing there is no reason to spend the extra money.
