Just got the latest Crutchfield catalog, and there's a pretty big insert with all kinds of "rice accessories" such as Altezza brake lights, clear corners, neon or led EVERYTHING, etc.

Check it out :disgust:

LMAO!

Yeah I noticed those things in the Crutchfield catalogue a couple of issues ago.

Sad when most people consider Crutchfield "high-end" gear and they start carrying this kind of stuff.

A shift knob with neon trim ? how cool is that? Match it to your interior color scheme, or go for the stand alone look!

i wanted to avoid all these threads today. but i will say this one thing.

what is wrong with with neon break pedals or clear lights? sure... to some, they look stupid. They think they look cool though, and WHO THE FSCK ARE YOU TO JUDGE THEM??! Is your life so miserable- that the only thing you can do to feel better is make fun of other people?

People are proud of their cars. And Not every one can afford a fscking 30 thousand dollar car, okay? do you understand that? so most of these ricesr are just doing the best with what they've got. would you rather spend spend 500 dollars on a new a turbocharger for a honda civic, that's never going to go on the track anyways-- or spend half that, get a spoiler and some cool lights and make your car stand out and look neat.. Its like jewelry for cars.

and for all you people who think ricer's look retarded-- well i think the audi A4 looks retarded, and the pasat. oh, and the mustang-- probably the worst car on earth.. Dont even get me started on BMW's... what company makes every single model of their car look exactly the same, only in different sizes. THe least they could do is pick a design that didnt suck. How do they get off charging so much anways! its crazy. 40k for a car that has nothing more to offer than a civic, won't last as long, bitch to repair, and killer in insurance. AND LOOKS LIKE SH!T.

oh well. whatever. i guess we're all entitled to think what we want, right? you like what you like, i like what i like. Crutchfeild is just trying to make money, cant blame them. The people buying neon pedals are just trying to make thier car stand out a little. When 90% of the cars out there are civics.. can't blame people for wanting to be at least a little unique and personalized.

so just go back to looking up pr0n or whatever.. i'm taking a nap.

I see that you are a hateful person and perhaps bored, werk. So what if Crutchfield sellings products like that? Your point is?

In case that you dont understand how a business works. Take notes!!!

Business who wants to maximize their profit so selling things that they think are going to make money.

I dont understand why people are so hateful about people who are expressing themselves with their cars. So what if they like super-high spoilers? Its their car and they can do anything they like to it.

The so-called "ricers" dont dont make fun of muscles cars at any chance that they get or do they calling them hot dog rockets or stupid names like that.

It depends. With Crutchfield you get excellent customer support and real manufacturer warranties. For some items you pay too much extra ($399 for a Pioneer rcvr vs. $299 from etronics) but for others the price is pretty close and shipping is much lower from Crutchfield.

I've been buying some of my AV gear from them for over 10 years now and would recommending buying something like a $700 speaker set from them even if you can get it $50 cheaper from Akbar & Jeff's No-Returns Speaker Hut. With Crutchfield if you buy it and aren't happy you can always send it back and try a different brand or model.

I always buy stuff from Crutchfield. I am very pleased with their sales support and tech support teams. And when you buy car stereo stuff, they include the wiring harnesses and instructions.

"Akbar & Jeff's No-Returns Speaker Hut".... Bwahahahaaa!!!

Yah and since it's getting popular now they started carrying it cause it introduces ricing to the masses more (and the people who buy systems are prob more likely the kind of ppl to buy that crap). If it keeps getting more popular there's gonna need to be able more places to buy it from and if Crutchfield can get in there early they can get a lot of sales.

I think it's a shame that crutchfield is carrying that crap, but they ARE a great company in general. One of the few mail order companies that really does a fantastic job of customer service.. They're $$$ but you get what you pay for.

OMG! LMFAO!!!! Ahahahahahha! I can picture an Apu-type guy and a chubby little bald Jewish guy behind the counter, both trying to rip you off. LMAO.

seriously, Crutchfield's prices suck booty. BUT, a wiring harness/dash kit will set you back at least $40 total. You have to factor these things in.

Taste taste taste. Going around saying how that's cheesy and how this is crap...

Well look at it this way... I think the Acura MDX looks as bad as a Hyundai Sante Fe. Those things are BEYOND fugly. But if they choose to spend all that money on something they think is nice, so be it. It's their money, let them be.
