I've heard that there are cruises for people in their 20's and 30's, anyone know of one? I dont want to get stuck on one with a bunch of retirees. I'm planning on going to one with some friends in the near future.

i would try Carnival or Royal Caribbean Cruise Line.
Carnival is known as "the fun ship". The food will only be mediocre but there is always a party going on.
Try and find a newer ship as well.

My hubby and I did not like Royal Caribbean. We are in our mid 20's and love Holland America Line. Mostly older people but really good food, nice rooms and an upscale experience.

Check out http://www.cruisecritic.com for TONS of good info about cruising.

We love cruising. we have been on one every year for the past serveral years.
we are going again in a few weeks.

Let me know if you need any other info.
I have researched A LOT and would be glad to help! 🙂

Carnival probably caters to the Youngest Crowd; Royal Carribean is Young-Middle age for the most part.
Stay away from Celebrity, Princess Cruises, or Holland America: All put on great cruises, but definately tend to get the older crowd.

I'll take you out on my swamp in my dingy for 300 dollars.

My wife and I took a Princess cruise last month. It's definitely oriented toward "personas de antigua". In fact there were few people in their 20s there at all - mostly 40s - 50s and their teenage kids.

Food was REALLY good though.

Glad you liked Holland America Lines... If you visit the Crows Nest or the Explorations Cafe you might get an eyeful of my handiwork. The refit of the entire Holland America Line is almost complete, the Veendam is being done in January and the Maasdam is being done in April. All other vessels in the fleet are at their best right now though the Volendam and Veendam will have further work later in the year. I highly recommend the Amsterdam for the quality of the ship, everybody agreed that that one was the best so far. Though it is a lot smaller than the Ryendam and Maasdam. The work has made all of the ships a lot more stylish and friendly to younger travellers.

Carnival Cruises and Celebrity Cruises are also good while Seabourn Cruises (remember that one that got attacked by pirates) is very luxurious but tends to be for the older crowd.

If I could I'd try and get onboard the P&O Aurorae, it is supposed to be a great ship but from what I have heard you need to book a very long time in advance.

Be careful what you wish for. If you are looking for a college spring break experience on the high seas, then definitely go with that type of cruise. Be forewarned. You will have to understand what you are getting into. The food will be bad, the service will be bad, there will be drunks and idiots to deal with, etc. Not a problem if that's what you want to do. But why not just drive or fly to TJ or Cancun or something for less?

I went on one for Royal Carribbean. I don't recall too many old people either. It was about a week and started in Florida and ended in CA. The ship I was on was called the Majesty of the Seas.

Well, I'm not looking to get on a cruise that is a college spring break experience for sure. I was looking for one that has younger working professionals that have graduated from college, late 20's to 30's. I was looking for something similar to contiki but on the seas.
