Crucial vc Micron

I am considering upgrading a computer with Micron RAM in it. Can I just add Crucial RAM next to it on the motherboard? Is there any difference? IS there a performance difference between Micron and Crucial?

damn, ST4RCUTTER, you knew what he would ask before he asked it...:Q anyway, yeah you can use them together. i think crucial ram is micron chips on crucial pcb...but i think micron ram is micron chips on generic pcb...or at least that's what it seems when places advertise "micron ram"

PCB=printed circuit board. Crucial is owned by Micron. Therefore they use micron chips and PCB's.
Scope!

<< OK then what's a PCB? >>

the plastic stuff the chips are attached to. get crucial. its direct, guaranteed warranty, not through oem companies.

i dont get it, how did he ask his question after your repsonse?

for generic micron memory,
you don't know
who makes the pcb,
who does the soldering process,
how's the spd written,
how's the qc,
where to claim warranty if it goes wrong,
etc..

crucial used to be 100-200% more expensive than generic micron, but now it's just 5-10% more than generic micron. How can you still buy generic micron?
