http://www.memoryexpress.net is a Calgary/Canada area business that is one of the few authorized Micron dealers in Canada. Hence, they can sell SDRAM at the lowest prices, much lower than online at www.crucial.com. I have been going to these guys for several years here locally and they always have the highest quality RAM. You will have to ask how much they charge for shipping.

$245 Canadian is approx $162US

Make sure to ask for Certified Micron Cas 2 PC-133, if you want the good stuff. Tell em ZenOps (Dave Wong) sent ya.

Hehe, no. But I do like these guys. If you know anything about Canada, you know how hard it is to get the latest stuff at a decent price. (Almost as bad as Austrailia)

I'm not suggesting any Americans get in on this, as you can probably get the same maybe slightly higher down in the States. Up here, we only have about 5 "real" places to get memory, two in Vancouver, two in Toronto, and this somewhat smaller shop here in Calgary. At an exchange rate of our dollar at 65 cents US, it is impossible for any Canadian to get a deal buying *anything* from the US.

Ya, free shipping *inside* the US, not US&Canada or Continental North America...

The prices still are still higher from Crucial.com. A Crucial 256MB PC-100 module for $178 is a good price (and according to sharkyextreme.com the best price) but I still think a Crucial 256MB PC-133 for $245Cdn (~$162US) is a pretty good deal worth mentioning. And I don't have to wait an extra week and pay excessive shipping while it sits in Canada customs waiting to cross the border.

What places in Vancouver sell crucial memory. I have looked an haven't found any.

Besides i jsut got off the phone with the palce. If you want the cas2 rated memory with 7E chips it's 165 candian for 128 and 285 candian for 256 which is higher than what crucial sells it for.

PLus you still have topay taxes and $10.00 shipping.

http://www.crucial.com/ The rare and more expensive 7E stuff is going for $197.99US online order (Shipping/PST/GST/USexchange not calculated). If their price is $285CDN I'm a little disappointed, but its still pretty good if you want the "premium" 7E stick.

No PST in Alberta. I have only heard of two Crucial/Micron sellers in Vancouver (not sure if they cater to end users either) and of course the Corsair seller from Ncix.com, of which the name brand SDRAM is hideously expensive right now, generic stuff is cheap tho. $992CDN for a 256MB Cas 2 PC100 stick? DAMNnnn, I can only hope it is a misprint.

This is slightly off topic but another person in another thread said that AMK Computers in Vancouver is selling 128mb of Infineon ram for 105 bucks CAD. I'll have to check up on that but what the heck, i'm just running 128mb of generic right now anyways.

Oh yeah, if you look at the back of any Computer Paper you will find the ad for Memory House which is in Richmond. They sell Micron, Hitachi and all that stuff. This one of the few resellers AFAIK.
