Crucial RAM warranty

Is the crucial warranty transferrable to people who buy the RAM from a place other than Crucial? Ie. I buy RAM from FS/FT and it later on fails, can I RMA it?
 
No they don't. It's mad messed up because I have a stick of DDR from Crucial that came from best buy and I can't find the receipt and Crucial refuses to RMA it. It's the last time I purchase anythingCrucial:|
 
RagingGuardian, maybe you can keep all your computer receipts in a file next time. 🙂

I was one of the persons that purchased a stick of Crucual PC2100 from Prime on FS. My stick works fine, and I still have my receipt. As long as you have seller transfer the receipt/proof of purchase to you, I think you definitely will be able to RMA.
 
Terms of limited warranty. With respect to products marked with the "CT" prefix (hereinafter a "CT Part"), Crucial warrants to the original customer purchasing such products directly from Crucial that all such products sold will be free from defects in materials and workmanship affecting form, fit and function. Any claim alleging that any product fails to conform to the foregoing warranty may be made only by the customer who purchased such product and only while such customer owns such product. Crucial, at its option, will repair, replace, or provide a credit or refund of either the original purchase price or fair market value, whichever is lower, for any CT Part covered by the Lifetime Limited Warranty that is determined by Crucial to be defective. Crucial reserves the right to substitute functionally equivalent new or serviceable used parts. The Lifetime Limited Warranty covers only defects arising under normal use and does not include malfunctions or failures resulting from misuse, abuse, neglect, alteration, problems with electrical power, usage not in accordance with product instructions, acts of nature or improper installation or repairs made by anyone
