I just bought more crucial ram and I received one 512 pc2100 that looked different from the old ones that I had. Instead of having an empty spot in the middle the modules were larger and the empty spot was gone. The serial # on this stick was CT6464Z265.16T3 I was wondering if there's any difference between 16T-16T3. I have 2 16T's and 1 16T1 with a 16T3. All sticks have Micron modules. Is one better than the other? Thanks

did you use the ram configuration they have on their website? if you look on their website i'm sure it'll tell you the difference if you search for the numbers. does it not fit on your motherboard?

No it fits...I just want to know if one is faster than the other...because the 16T3 modules look like the PC2700 modules but it says PC2100. So I was just wondering if 16T1 was faster than 16T or something of that sort. Thanks

The last few numbers denote different revisions. If the first part of the number is the same, all the sticks should have identical specs. The last part signifies changes - sometimes there will be different manufacturers chips (Crucial occasionally uses non-Micron memory), different chip configurations (module using different density chips), etc. As long as the first part is the same, the specs (rated speed/timings) should be the same.
