crucial pc3200 ram model question

Newegg has crucial pc3200 ram with model # CT6464Z40B.8T (OEM), however, I also have another model as CT6464Z40B.16T. The only difference between these two is the "8T" and "16T", and from some pictures the 8T model is single sided, and my 16T is double sided. Is there any other difference between these two ? say, for example, does it work if I put one piece 8T with one piece 16T? TIA.

Mixing single-sided and double-sided modules would prevent certain chipsets from using dual-channel mode, namely Intel's dual-channel-DDR chipsets like i865-series and i875P. In a single-channel motherboard, or in nForce2, it should be 100% fine to use your existing 16T module with the new 8T module.

mechBgon, thank you so much. I am running a64 3000 on nforce3-250 (asus k8n), no intend to use double channel, glad to know they may work together, thank you.
