Crucial or Mushkin?

i was wondering which DDR memory is more recommended?
also whats the difference between ECC and nonECC? like is it worth the money for ECC?
thanx

I would go with Crucial but both brands are very good.

ECC is a type of memory that has error correction built in. It's not necessary, but if your board supports it then it's not a bad idea to have it.

I'd also get Crucial being as for the price of Mushkin they can't beat the price/performance of Crucial.

I think everyone else will agree.. while Mushkin is great RAM... So is Crucial! - and at less cost.

Crucial gets my vote.

Go for the cheaper of the two (prob crucial) because both are great. I'm pretty sure ECC is mainly meant for servers, but I may be mistaken. So if it is for a server get ECC, otherwise for home usage get non-ECC. Good luck.

thanx to everyone! 🙂
yea this isnt a server so i think i will stick with nonECC ^.^ a couple of bucks is a couple of bucks... heh
and being a student, i am a little low on the cash flow... so i guess if performance is about the same... crucial it is 😉
oh yea any difference between CL 2.5 and 2? i know CL 2 is better but is the difference significant?
