I'm looking to get more RAM for my new Dell Inspiron 530. I currently have 2 x 1GB sticks that came with it that are PC-6400.
When I go to the Crucial site, it spits out a part number to order like it's supposed to. I'd rather order from Newegg and they have sticks of Crucial RAM that look to have the same exact specs (as far as I can tell), but the part numbers are very different. Does it matter? Do they just give different numbers if you are buying for a Dell vs a home-built PC? I just don't get it!
