Crucial memory owners . . . how high will your RAM overclock?

Here's what I'm using at the moment . . . RAM, but I'm only running at 100MHz (Athlon system). What's the top end I can reach with this stuff?

Thanks.

Might help if you say what the rated speed of your ram is :p. Most likely the limited fsb of the athlon will limit your ram speed, not the ram itself.

Uhhh . . . all the specs of the RAM are listed on the link I gave.

It's 7.5ns, CAS2 @ 133. Theoretically it should max out at 133, but . . . ?

Its PC133 CL2, and it will run at 133 at CL2.
I have the same sticks. actually, i have 1, plus the older part that was PC133 CL3, but they both run at CL2 on my system, settings turbo, 2-2-2.

I dont know how it will do above 133, but id set your ram to clk+33 and all settings to the fastest asap! :D

BTW, it *should* do about 140-145 on CL3, but think the performance hit from CL2 CL3 will make the profit doubtful.

This might help you out. I e-mailed them about almost the same question:):)

<< Crucial.

I am currently runnig an Intel Pentium III 700 Slot 1 cB0 processor
overclocked to 1050MHz in a Asus P3B-F motherboard. But I only have 128MB of
memory and that stick of memory isn´t even mine, I have borrowed it from a
friend. I am thinking of buying 2 "CT16M64S4D7E" memory modules from you and
hopefully run the two modules @150MHz(222?). Or should I buy one
"CT32M64S4D7E" module insted? I have heard that 440bx boards have stability
problems when populating more that one DIMM slot at FSBs higher than 133MHz.
But will your "CT32M64S4D7E" module handle 150MHz FSB(222?)?And yes I know
this is a highly overclocked system :) .

Sincerely

<< Hi Erik,

The PC133 CAS2 modules that you have mentioned are manufactured under some
of the most stringent test conditions in the industry and conform to all of
the PC133 standards which state that for a module to be PC133 certified it
must be able to go above and beyond the 133MHz threshold. This is to ensure
stability of the module when running at 133MHz so that it is not at its
maximum all the time. The upper limit for our modules is 143MHz. Our modules
are of a very high standard but even then I do not suggest you run the
module at the speed mentioned. We will not be liable for damage caused to
the module if run at 150MHz.

Thank you for your enquiry.

Crucial Cas2 7ns = 146mhz
Mushkin rev2 = 156hmz

Both @ cas2 with all memory options maxed and 4-way interleaving enabled.

I get 146 mhz in CAS 2 with my Crucial 7.5ns CAS 2 PC133 before it craps out.
