Well, this is the third instance that a stick of Crucial memory has gone bad. I ran the MemTest86 and over 100K errors were found with the RAM module in question. Am I just having bad luck or do you think it could be my board or somet other hardware that is messing up the memory somehow? I normally run 512MB, now down to 256. My memory is identified as follows: 256MB 32x72 184-PIN DIMM DDR REGISTERED PC2100. Any ideas?

Did you try swapping it with a known good mem stick yet?

edit: try your Crucial stick in another system too.

Yeah, one stick is good, the other is bad. Unfortunately I do not have a system here that takes this type of RAM.

What part of memtest failed? If test #5, try increasing Vcore (yes Vcore) a little and see what you get.
