Crucial memory for T40 -- problems?

Well according to the crucial site if you select the memory they recommend for your sysytem
it's guaranteed to work or your money back.

Seems to be hit and miss ie mocca is fine with crucial fpr t40 and t40p, yet, I took out
my crucial 512k from my t40p and no more crashes...They did refund my money past the
30 day mark too!.

Will go with ibm next time they have a sale on 512k. Too bad I missed it. About 30 days
ago I believe it was on sale for $130. Now back to $195.

I have 512MB Crucial stick in my T40p like ES135 said. I found no problem with the system (not more than usual crashing in WC3 and BF1942 which more likely due to the gfx drivers). I've heard about someone have problems with the crucial sticks before so it might be a hit or miss situation. You can just order it from Crucial (if you get a good price) and if it doesn't work, you can return it though (their return policy is very good). I find that it is rare that crucial memory stick will not work (only once in the past). Good luck.

I?ve got my T40 (2373A1U) a month ago. Initially got 2x512Mb from Crucial, but returned it after reading several posts at this forum without giving it a try. Crucial service support was great. They did not object when I returned merchandise. After T40 arrived I?ve got 2x512Mb from IBM (@169.00 +Tax) per 512Mb. It's been running fine.
