Why not just buy it at crucial? I think currently 256mb pc133 is $46 before instant $10 savings...and pc2100 is $49 (minus 10 too)...free ship too.

you can get it immediately at best buy plus its still $10 cheaper at best buy...both crucial and best buy will charge tax (crucial in most states)

Tax would vary for different states but I am just choosing my state

Both have free shipping if you order online but Crucial's is 2 day air and BB would most likely be ground.

Hmmm....... BeastBuy is actually 3.42 more expensive even after rebate. But for those that want instant gratification it's still 62.99 plus your tax as out of pocket.

As far as the Sodimms, I don't know. It could be a great deal.

I just got back from my local (arlington, tx) best buy. got 2 256mb pc2100 sticks.

62.99 each + 9.13 tax = 135.11 out the door - 50 MIR = 85.11 for 512 of crucial ddr. seems pretty hot to me.

Er, maybe I've had my head in the sand but has there been a recent drop in the price of laptop memory? I looked around a few weeks ago and it the prices looked the same as they had for the past few months, about $79 for a 256 MB sodimm. Did I miss something? And if I did does anyone know if this drop is projected to go lower fast or stay at these prices for awhile?

I far as I have seen, most of this deal is warm at best, at least with current crucial pricing (4 weeks ago would have been a different matter). However, the notebook memory seems way hot to me. When I checked crucial a while ago, the 128 Notebook mem was ~$20 more online.

You can get a 256 sodimm chip at CC for $54 right now...

Just ordered my pc2100 from crucial and after taxes it came out to be 38 bucks so that is still cheaper than BB and no waiting 6 months(ti200) for a rebate to come back.But it is a good deal for the non-AT crowd.

I received the 128MB Crucial SODIMM. The PN on the box is CT16M64S6W75, on the receipt it is CT16M64S6W7E, on the rebate form it is CT16M64S6W7. Anyone notice the difference?
P.S. The UPC is 649528711182.
