Hi Guys
I need your help
I have a crucial m4 SSD 2.5 512GB 6GB/S in my MacBook Pro
It Fails, so i put the original HD to restore
But my crucial is not detected by any pc or mac

How to recover it ?
I had that with an old HD WD and someone reflash the drive memory
Can i do it with the crucial, and how ?

Your help is warmly welcome

Only would happen on 1 of 3 mb to me.
Go to bios change to ide mode save restart.
Go directly back to bois if it now shows up reset to ahci.

If it still doesn't show up do a search at crucial forms for a lost m4 drive.
There was a fairly easy fix that use to be listed on m4 forms.

Crucial always had a good RMA program for ram.
Sure hope there drive RMA is just as good.

Leave the drive powered on for 15-30 minutes while the computer sits in the Bios. After 15-30 minutes restart the computer. I see this now and then with the M4 drives. Its a firmware bug that was supposedly fixed but I still see it even on the 070H firmware.

Why did my SSD "disappear" from my system?

I followed the above link and it always worked for me but only once did it worked on the first shot most times it took 3 times average.
I then updated to firm 070h and that also helped.
I only lost that drive after a fast windows update restart on a sata2 1366 chipset.
My two other m4 never had a problem Sata600.

I tried it, still lost, but the drive itself make a strange noise , kind of bzzz bzzz zzzz

Something must be going on at Crucial. First boo koo memory failures and now this.

Maybe they're trying to pull a OCZ
