You think that quote means more than 3000 people tried to order between 500 and 700 drives each? I read it as Crucial received more than 3000 orders for total stock of between 500 and 700 drives. I guess I could be mistaken, but I very seriously doubt that 3000+ Ebay resellers tried to jump on the deal all at once.

money. I'm having issues with my cpu running too hot and possibly being faced with having to buy a new one and motherboard. Plus every time I think about spending $60 on a 128gb ssd everyone in storage is like "no, no, you need a 256gb one for reasons" so I hold off. But for $29 I could't lose! oh well.

I have a 128Gb in my main rig. I also have a 2Tb spinning disk that holds my most of my games, Blu-ray and dvd rips, and it's where my Documents and Downloads directories are pointed to. Everything else, including the 2 -3 games I play the most are on the SSD.

Crap, I did read that wrong. I didn't really figure 3000 orders of 700, in my mind I read it as 3000 orders with some ordering 500-700 drives.
