Crucial kicks butt

Just got my 7E memory today and ran some benchmarks. I was running generic PC100 @ 133 CAS3. With the 7E I turned up all the settings i.e. Turbo, CAS2, 4-way interleaving and my benches have increased by about 20%.

Original config was TB800 at 900 (9x100) 1.8v, now I'm running (8.5x106) 1.8v

The only complaint I have is I ordered the memory last Wednesday and paid $109, today the exact same memory is selling for $91. That's $36 I could have saved by waiting 4 days, oh well...I'm still happy w/ my purchase.

I'll try increasing FSB 1 mhz at a time later on to see just how far I can get.

I have Crucial memory in my system too.... awesome stuff 🙂

I just ordered some more for my laptop too... they were half price compared to dell 🙂

Thanks for reminding me to order more. I think I got the same ram before and was major happy with it. Are they still giving out coupons for 15%off your next order? If people know this they may want to order 16, then 128, or get the coupon code from a friend that doesn't want it. Memmory prices are dropping everywhere, no need to blame Crucial.

I didn't receive any coupon but at $91 for 128 mb of 7E, that's a heck of alot cheaper than this stuff was just a month ago. Heck if it drops anymore, I may order another stick to fill my third slot just for the hell of it.

I've got my computer up to 8.5x109 now and it's running rock steady. With my generic PC100, I couldn't get past 102 FSB.
