hmmm, is the webpromo 15% dead? When I follow the link, put in a company name, and hit go, the prices I end up getting are 10% off, not 15%.

Don't get me wrong, these are still awesome prices for Crucial memory (some of the best out there), but if others are able to get 15% I want to keep trying!

<< should i upgrade to 256?? >>

You mean you haven't yet? Of course you should! I did and noticed a significant increase in performance. It also made Counter Strike so much faster.

What I'd like to know is whether or not to buy PC133 for my Abit BX6Rev2 so when I upgrade, I can slap the PC133 in and roll. The PC100 would go to the kids' FIC 503+ (see, I'm not selfish, I'm doing it all for them ;) ).

Just FYI, they've had the free 2nd Day Air shipping going for over 2 months now. No idea on when it will end.

The Crucial website has a memory selector. Select your motherboard manufacturer and model and it will provide a list of memory suitable for your motherboard.

I'm getting components together for my stepdad to build a computer for me. I'm getting the MSI K7T Pro 2a motherboard and want to get a stick of the 256 for it. Which one of the 3 "kinds" listed would go with this mb? If they all 3 will, what's the advantage of each? I just want to get the right one! thanks, vroom

Nice, I've been wanting to upgrade the memory of my CompUSA Amerinote laptop PC and a 128 meg stick of SODIMM was only about $77. The free 2nd day shipping offer was actually gone a few days ago when I originally wanted to get some, but it looks like they decided to extend it.

I click the discount and get NO discount. I have filled in the company field, but I still get the regular webprice. Any suggestions?

Update: Check this link, it is your exact Dell model, got it by using their memory configurer feature. I was right, you only need the PC100 (though PC133 would be compatible, as shown, but it will run at PC100 like the rest of your memory). I'd say the best deal is on the 64MB & 128MB PC100 CAS 2.

Not familiar with the exact model, but if your Dell is a Pentium 450, and is one of their normal home/office 'boxes, then you could go with the PC100 non-ECC. On the other hand, if it's one of Dell's other models, it might require ECC, so check your system manual to find out for sure. If no manual, you ought to be able to find something at Dell's online support pages. The only reason to go PC133 is if you might be upgrading your CPU/motherboard in the next couple/few months, at least you could transfer your newer memory to the new system. Otherwise, save the few bucks by going PC100 ... when you do finally upgrade CPU, etc. in the future, by then you'll be looking at entirely different types of RAM and both PC100 & 133 will be obsolete.
